Themes of Propaganda Posters
Patriotic appeals began to overshadow the
theme of communism and the great class
struggle
 Anti-religious themes disappeared
 Attacks on Hitler and his henchman
became prevalent


The majority of posters were produced by
young artists who created a shift towards
realism



military secrets to the enemy,
but became a symbol of the time

This poster motivated thousands of
people to join the Soviet army to
fight the Nazis. This is the Russian
equivalent of the “Uncle Sam
Wants You.”
