Unit Statement: The student will identify vocabulary related to various holidays and
celebrations; make a role-play inviting guests, visiting friends, and giving presents.
Essential Outcomes: (must be assessed for mastery)
1. The Student Will memorize vocabulary related to the topic.
2. TSW identify дарить /подарить, пробовать/ попробовать, купить /покупать,
готовить /приготовить, приглашать /пригласить.
3. TSW apply “Мне/Тебе/ Ему/ Ей/ + adverb “pattern.
4. TSW memorize conjugation of the verbs подарить, купить, приготовить,
поздравить, приглашать in Future tense.
5. TSW identify “Мне понравилось+ infinitive”pattern.
6. TSW make a role-play “At the Party”
Introduced/Practice Outcomes: (See Course Outcomes)
1. The Student Will write a list of words pertaining to the topic.
2. TSW practice using verbs in Present, Past and Future tenses.
3. TSW review food and drinks.
4. TSW practice identifying “ Мне понравился/ Мне понравилась/ Мне понравились
+ noun pattern “.
5. TSW practice identifying question “Кому + adverb?” pattern.
6. TSW practice answering the questions “Кого?”, “Куда?”, “С кем?”.
7. TSW review verb “to be” in Past tense.
8. TSW practice expressing thanks, offer, decline and compliment food, such as
Спасибо за..., было очень вкусно, хотите чай или кофе? and etc.
9. TSW practice writing an invitation and signing a greeting card.
