Dear Admission Office, Ever since I could remember, I wanted to make a difference. And every time I tried to do it, I got a strong feeling. The feeling is that I could have done more if I were educated enough. The lack of knowledge became my obstacle that narrowed my opportunities. I experienced it the most when I was the School President. I constantly tried to implement IT to our school in small, as it may seem, but crucial details. From introducing electronic classrooms to creating online workshops I felt the lack of practical skills that are so essential in executing concepts. Analyzing all my failures and successes I have concluded that to be able to make a significant change I need proper education. From that moment, a strong desire for knowledge arose inside me. However, it is not only knowledge and education that one needs to make a difference. As a participant at the UNESCO Regional Seminar on Innovative School Leadership and SDG 4.7, I realized the importance of communication. Sharing the vision and inspiring others is exactly what a leader needs to do and exactly who I want to be. I want to go to university not only to get knowledge and realize my potential but to share my experience with dreamers and campaigners from all over the world. I high on believing that I am not the only one who wants to make the world a better place. Amongst other perspective innovators, I will get and give aspiration, I will get and share experience. I want to become more than just a specialist, I want to become a leader, that will inspire others. At this conference I realized the importance of international cooperation. The discussions of problems and obstacles that different countries faced allowed me to better understand the problems of my country and potential ways of solving them. My whole worldview has changed: I have seen how problems are being solved in a real-time and how people solve them. I gave my opinion and advice to deans, principals, and teachers, influencing several decisions regarding the education system. It turned out that some countries face the same problems as my country did to solve them and told them the outcomes of these decisions. But most importantly I understood what differentiates a good leader from a great one. While speaking with them even if it is a small talk you feel the energy, the spark in their eyes when they talk about leadership. One of them, Mr. Nakimura, said: "We (leaders) don't lead people to the bright future, but it is the bright future that leads us to itself, we make sure that people won't miss it." After that when we started discussing statistics I noticed that students from Mr. Nakimura's school participated in different exchange programs, competitions, and seminars. Consequently, their marks and university acceptance rates were significantly higher compared to other schools in the region. The thought stroke me like lightning. The policy of Mr. Nakimura's school was not about punishments or awards, instead, it was based on constant notification about all the opportunities that students might have missed. It is exactly what happens to Kyrgyzstan. Gifted and talented people from our community just keep missing the opportunities to assert themselves. But from my point of view, it is not the reason, it is the consequence of another problem. Many people believe that 3rd world countries, like Kyrgyzstan, lack scholars, which is not true. We lack strong leaders. Judge for yourselves, for the past two decades our country suffered 2 revolutions and armed conflicts still happen from time to time. Poor inner policy led to this disappointing result. Starting from Western countries(US, UK), the global community started to have prejudices about our country. But I have a dream that one day it will all change and Kyrgyz people will be welcomed in all countries of the world. I believe that by studying harder than ever in the walls of your university I will prove to the global community that Kyrgyz people can be valuable members of international society. As for me, the Westcliff university program is a great opportunity to get high-quality education and skills needed to succeed in my country and, potentially, on the international level. Moreover, as far as I am concerned, education in Westcliff focused on practical skills rather than theoretical, which is crucial in the business sphere. I chose BA, because I strongly believe that the world of business can change the world with just an idea embodied in our minds. A proper education opens the doors that were previously closed. Degrees of your university are recognized throughout the world, which gives unique opportunities for international cooperation after graduation. In the future, I want to become a businessman , pushing the development of my country further and further. Our country is already making progress in meeting the international standards of business, but Kyrgyzstan experiences strong attrition of specialists in this field. I believe that the only resource that Kyrgyzstan has, is human resources, and business is the key to Kyrgyzstan's success on the international level. With years of international working experience and education in one of the best universities in the world I will have all the resources required to become a valuable member of global society and the prospective leader of my community.
