The aim of the
practice:
Faculty of Business and Management
 prepare students for work in international cruise industry (marketing
aspects);

learn the process of creating the cruise product in tourist company;
 familiarize with the features of port departments activity on preparing of
cruise ship for sailing;

learn the internal structure of cruise ship;
 familiarize with organizational structure and management processes of
cruise ship divisions;
 research the structure and processes of restaurant and hotel divisions of
cruise ship;

gain skills of work with personnel of different divisions of cruise ship;

learn safety technology and ecology control system on cruise ship;
 familiarize with information technology used in the management of cruise
ship.

In case of successful completion of the program of practice students will be
able to:
use technical and interpersonal skills and knowledge for the development
and evaluation of theoretical and practical solutions of complex problems in
key areas of cruise ships management;
use principles and practices of hotel services management on cruise ship;
identify and appropriately respond to the problems arising in the operation
of services in a cruise ship;
evaluate and apply in the context of cruise management, relevant theories
and concepts of the main areas of management, such as human resources
management, hospitality management, business communications;
use in practice the skills of organizing of forwarding and logistics on a
cruise ship;
analyze and evaluate the defining characteristics of hospitality on a cruise
ship.

Upon completion of the program students receive a certificate.
The main components of assessment for certification are:
- student has completed all stages of program, as evidenced by the conclusion of the
supervisor of the practice;
- student has prepare a report on the practice;
- student has made a presentation of a report on the practice.
