Оценивается участие студенческих строительных отрядов из различных городов СССР в
развитии народного хозяйства Дальнего Востока, рассматриваются особенности
формирования дальневосточных стройотрядов, специфика работы и другие аспекты их
деятельности в 1963–1991 гг.

Construction groups of students and their contribution to the Far East economy (1963–1991).

The paper describes contribution of construction groups of students from different cities of the
Soviet Union to the development of the Far East. It is shown how such student construction groups
were organized, and how they worked in house and industry building in 1963–1991.

Регистрация старообрядческих общин Забайкалья
в период становления советской власти (20-е годы XX в.)
На основе анализа впервые введенных в научный оборот источников автор рассматривает
проблему регистрации старообрядческих общин Забайкалья в 20-е годы XX в. и процесс
обсуждения ими политики советского государства. Особое внимание уделяется конфликту,
произошедшему в 1924 г. из-за отказа старообрядцев регистрировать свои общины в органах
государственной власти. Выявляются причины и ход этого противостояния.

Registration of Old Belief communities in Zabaikalye region within the period of Soviet State
formation (the 1920s). A.V.KOSTROV (Irkutsk State University).
On the basis of new sources the author considers the problem of registration of Old Belief
communities of Zabaikalye region in the 20s of the XX century, as well as the process of their
discussion on the Soviet State policy. Special attention is paid to the conflict, happened in 1924 due to
the refuse of Old Belief to register their communities in the public authorities. The author reveals
reasons and process of this opposition.

О моржах в Охотском море (по историческим источникам)
В наше время в Охотском море моржей нет, однако во многих исследованиях по истории,
географии и зоологии сообщается, что прежде, в середине XVII в., эти животные водились
здесь в изобилии. Их исчезновение исследователи связывают с деятельностью русских
промышленников. Основываясь на подробном анализе исторических материалов, автор
доказывает, что, вопреки общепринятому мнению, в Охотском море за последние 2,5 тыс.
лет крупных популяций моржа не было.

On Walruses in the Sea of Okhotsk (from historical data). S.B.SLOBODIN (North-East
Interdisciplinary Research Institute, FEB RAS, Magadan).
At the present, there are no walruses in the Sea of Okhotsk; however, many publications in history,
geography, and zoology argue that in the mid-17th century walruses were abundant here.
Researchers associate their extinction with Russian traders here. Basing on a comprehensive analysis
of historical data, the author proves that, contrary to the common opinion, there were no large walrus
populations in the Sea of Okhotsk within the last 2,5 thousand years.

The Russian Harbin Polytechnical Institute and the future of its Graduates.

Graduates of the famous Harbin Polytechnical Institute (HPI) have made a significant
contribution to different fields of technology in various parts of the world. On the basis of Australian
documents this paper observes the history of the Russian Harbin Polytechnical Institute and reveals
contribution of its graduates to the Australian economy.

китайского купечества
конца XVIII–первой половины XIX в.
в записках русских современников
На основе опубликованной литературы и архивных источников анализируется
экономическое поведение китайского купечества в пограничной торговле с русскими в конце
XVIII–первой половине XIX в. Автор отмечает, что, опираясь на целый ряд выработанных
стратагем, китайским купцам удалось сформировать своеобразную модель поведения,
которая позволяла достигать желаемых результатов при экономии средств.
Автор делает вывод, что в период изоляции Китая купеческим компаниям, опиравшимся на
поддержку правительства, удалось укрепить свое положение в торговле с Россией и
добиться первенства в кяхтинских торгах.

Economic behavior of the Chinese merchant class in the end of the XVIII–first part of the

Economic behavior of the Chinese merchant class in the frontier trade with the Russians in the end
of the XVIII-first part of the XIX centuries is analyzed on the basis of the published materials and
archival documents. The author notes that, basing on a lot of elaborated stratagems, Chinese
merchants managed to generate the original model of behavior which was focused not only on
achievement of the desirable results, but also on saving means.
The author comes to the conclusion that during isolation of the country by the Chinese merchant
companies, relying on support of the government, it was possible to strengthen the position in trade
with Russia and to achieve priority in Kyakhta`s trade.

Смольнинского городища
Смольнинское городище – один из немногих памятников Приморья, на котором
практически вся керамика, доработанная на круге, имеет так называемый вафельный
орнамент. Раскопанное на городище жилище дало интересный материал, позволяющий нам в
данной работе судить о хозяйственной деятельности его обитателей и некоторых аспектах
социально-экономической организации населения.

Smol’ninskoe ancient settlement is one of few sites of Primorye region where practically all pottery
finished on a circle has so-called wafer ornament. A dwelling excavated on Smol’ninskoe ancient
settlement provided an interesting material, allowing us to make suppositions about economic activity
of its inhabitants and some aspects of social and economic organization of the site population.

Этнокультурные особенности в орнаментальных традициях долган
Дается общая типологическая характеристика традиционного орнамента долган. На
основе сравнительного анализа выявляется некоторое сходство орнаментальных мотивов
долган с тунгусскими и якутскими традициями.

Мифологическая интерпретация мира в устройстве традиционного нанайского жилища
Описываются структура традиционного нанайского поселения, усадьбы, внутреннего
устройства дома и связанные с ними ритуалы. Представлена мифологическая интерпретация
мира, выраженная в образе мирового древа. Уделяется особое внимание изучению границ
культурного пространства, а также анализу значений таких центральных объектов
внутреннего устройства жилища, как стол и столбы.

Mythological interpretation of the world in arrangement of the traditional Nanaian dwelling.

In the paper we studied the problem of representation of mythological interpretation of the world,
expressed in the image of the world tree, through the structure of Nanaian settlement, dwelling, interior
and rituals supporting these artifacts. Special attention is paid to the question of cultural space
boundaries and such central objects of interior as table and columns.

Первый нанайский театр
Освещена история первого нанайского театра, работавшего в 1934–1940 гг. в
национальном селе Найхин. На основе архивных источников и прессы тех лет
восстанавливается репертуар, включавший инсценировки нанайских сказок, обрядов,
национальных игр и театрализованные версии песен, а также политически злободневные
интермедии. В стилистике театра отмечается совмещение двух языковых пластов, или
кодов: традиционного, связанного с обращением к национальному материалу, и современного,
появившегося под влиянием русского профессионального театра.

The first nanaian theater. Y.S.KRYZHANOVSKAYA (Far Eastern State Humanitarian
University, Khabarovsk).
The paper is devoted to the history of the first nanaian theater which existed in 1934–1940 in the
national settlement of Naykhin. On the basis of archival documents and media of those years the
author restored the repertoire of the unique group, including stagings of nanaian fairy-tales,
ceremonies, national games and dramatized versions of songs, as well as politically vital interludes.
Combination of two linguistic layers or codes – «traditional», connected with the national material,
and «modern», appeared under the effect of the Russian professional theater – can be distinguished in
the theater style.

Крестьянское переселение на Дальний Восток во второй половине XIX–начале ХХ в.

Освещаются взгляды известных дореволюционных исследователей на крестьянское
переселение и аграрную колонизацию территории Дальнего Востока России во второй
половине XIX–начале ХХ в. Автор впервые систематизирует и сравнивает их точки зрения на
причины переселения и особенности адаптации крестьян-переселенцев и влияние их
хозяйственной деятельности на аграрную колонизацию Дальнего Востока.

приводятся сведения о его жизни и научной деятельности в США, куда он уехал осенью 1922 г.

The paper is devoted to the role of M.K.Eliashevich, professor of Vladivostok Poytechnic Institute
(1919–1922), in researches of coal bearing deposits in the south of Primorsky Krai. Data on his life
and scientific carrier in the USA, where he left for in autumn of 1922, have been provided for the first
time.
