Лазутина Вероника 223(А) “World Literature in 2050: Main Trends, Genres, Themes” The genres and themes of art have been always influenced by the social factors, cultural and historical events of the particular period of time. In the works of literature writers mostly describe the environment around them. They also try to reveal the problems which can be found in the society of their time and use the scientific discoveries, political world or local situation as the part of the setting of the plot. If we want to describe main trends, genres, themes of the world literature in 2050, firstly we need to focus on the events and phenomena which would happen in the future. Nowadays computer scientists are trying to make new technologies connected with the artificial intelligence or AI. In this case, we can presume that the problem of replacing people with AI will be more important and the theme of relationship of AI and the real person will be described in the literature in the future. Furthermore, as the technology of AI will be improved people will try to use them in the sphere of art and that is why the new art genre will be developed. And it is obvious to say that the use of artificial intelligence in the literature can become a useful tool for writers and it will be legal in the future. This genre will be described as the interaction of human’s mind and it’s imagination with the knowledge of AI. So, the main trends of world literature in 2050 can include using the AI in writing, the deep communication of writer and their characters with the reader as the phenomena of “breaking forth wall” in the art is becoming more popular nowadays. And the imitation of the style of old literary movements will be also seen in the future works of literature as writers will seem to feel the absent of the people’s connection with their past and history and so they will try to reunite with the famous writers of the past times. All in all, we can predict what trends, genres and themes will be in the world literature in 2050 only when we can think and make a conclusion about the future events. The history of the humankind and it’s discoveries have been always described in the works of famous writers and that is why we can presume that the interaction of new technologies with the person will be described in the literature. But we should not forget, that the themes of eternal values will be always one of the main features of the world literature.
