children and adults. The book is

literature in the genre of the absurd; it
uses numerous mathematical, linguistic
and philosophical jokes and allusions.

Lewis in the 1950s. The central place of action of all the works is the magical land of Narnia,
which is inhabited by talking animals and mythical creatures. The Chronicles of Narnia have

Gerald Malcolm
Durrell is a British
naturalist, writer,
conservationist and
television presenter. He
founded the Darell
Wildlife Trust and the
Jersey Zoo on the
Channel Island of
Jersey in 1959.
He wrote about forty books, mostly about his expeditions to exotic
countries for wild animals, but the most famous of them is "My
Family and other Animals" about his childhood on the Greek island
of Corfu.
