Starting Emergency Generator by hand spring starter 1. Fit the Cranking handle to the input adaptor and wind the handle in a clockwise direction until coloured springs are visible through the inspection windows. When the WHITE spring is visible the starter is ready to start a warm engine. When the RED spring are visible the starter is ready to start a cold engine. 2. Push down the trip through 90 degr. This will immediately release the starter. 3. Should the engine fail to start repeat the above steps.
