Annotation. The article is devoted to the comparison of the assumptions, methods of analysis of
neoclassical and Marxist approaches to treatment of rent and land price. The author studies conclusions of
neoclassical and Marxist approaches to rent and land price and points out logical inconsistency in the
neoclassical interpretation of the rent. He also overviews current issues of economic policy related to the theory
of rent.
