Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov, Severnaya Dvina Emb. 17, Arkhangelsk, 163002
(Russia), e-mail: biotech@narfu.ru
It is established that there are structure’s changes of a cellular wall of cellulose fibres after cellulase treatment. It is shown
an applicability of the developed techniques for determination of fiber’s width and control of cellulose fibres swelling. A variety of swelling forms is defined by surface’s destruction degree of bleached hardwood kraft cellulose fibres, a major factor is
the condition of external layer S1 of a cellular wall.
Keywords: bleached hardwood kraft cellulose, fiber’s width, fibres swelling, cellulase.
