Some people think we should make children take part in traditional festivals and celebrations. Do you agree? Some people argue that our modern generation needs to take part in traditional festivals and holidays, whereas others do not agree. They believe that all holidays are equally worthy of celebration, especially modern ones. In my opinion, traditional holidays should be enjoyed and honored, we should do our best to make children take part in traditional holidays. First of all, it is important to remember our national traditions in a rapidly globalizing world, we cannot afford to lose them, festivals and celebrations that has some roots has as proved its significance and meaning throughout time. For example, a holiday called Maslenica has been celebrated for hundreds of years and people always do it with great pleasure. In addition to this, traditional festivals have special connotation that makes people remember their history. For example, IvanaKupala festival is celebrated since time immemorial and reminds Russians of an ancient tradition of honoring summer solstice. However, at the same time there are people who say that it does not matter which holiday to celebrate, almost every day is a big do. There is no need to attach special importance to traditional holidays, tell children about them and participate in them. The bottom line is that people come together and communicate with each other. I do not share their point of view. I firmly believe that only the rarity of holidays makes us appreciate them. Unlike modern holidays, the traditional one have a special atmosphere, are saturated with special solemnity, unite thousands, millions of people, and connect them with a common history and religious beliefs. To sum up I would like to say that our ancestors have carried some festivals and celebrations through centuries. It would be reverent to them to pass those to our children. Building up respect for our own culture is required to save our true cultural identity.
