How do you envisage the future? Nowadays we live in a hyper-connected world, where most people have access to technology and use them on an everyday basis for work, communication and even rest. Together with various technologies in our lives, a number of serious global problems has come up. But no matter all of the issues, I think positively about our future and now I would like to explain why. Firstly, because together with the development of technologies, we can see how our society becomes more self-aware. Mental and physical health is considered the top priority by more and more people every day, especially since the start of coronavirus. We now realize that without proper health we can’t be as happy as we want to be. Of course, we always knew it, but few of us appreciated their health and took care of themselves, the others just simply forgot about it in pursuit of successful career and in this fast tempo of life. Together with this trait, we start to value nature because we understand how much energy and resources it gives us. Especially it becomes clear that nature can’t be substituted with anything in our world when we are stuck behind the desks in our apartments and when we are constantly surrounded by the hustle and bustle of the city. Therefore, I believe that the future society will be more kind and caring to themselves, people around them and nature. Secondly, as we are seeing environmental concerns dominate in the media, in cabinet meetings, in city councils, and in classrooms, population of our planet will change the way they live into more ecological style. People will stop using disposable plastic, reduce their consumption, reuse their things and recycle their rubbish. Cutting-edge technologies will improve each year and help us save our environment. We have electric cars now, which will be spread more and more in all countries of our world. Together with this there are solar panels which heat houses, ships operating on an environmental-friendly fuel, hydrogen planes with zero waste. Robots will be an essential part of our life, they will perform a majority of labor jobs. Cities will expand not only in width, but in height too. However, technologies will still be a double-edged sword for us and people will have to learn to separate their real life from virtual life. To sum up, we live in profoundly hard times. But was our past easier? No. There always were various issues, but each time the humanity resolved them. That’s why, I envisage our future as a great journey filled with both happiness and challenges that we will pass through under any circumstances.
