I am glad to see you! 2 Teachers introduction into the topic. T: Today we have an unusual lessons. We’ll speak about such vital problem as nature protection.So the theme of our lesson is “Environmental Protection” ( writing the date) We’ll revise the vocabulary and you’ll express your thoughts and opinions on the suggested topic in the forms of presentations. 3. Motivation of the topic. T:The topic of discussion is really interesting to everyone.You know that our land is our home. Unfortunately, today our planet is in danger. We, humans, cut forests, kill animals, destroying their natural habitat, pollute everything around us: air, water, land. The intensive development of science, industry and chemistry has made the pollution of the environment a global problem of our century. The protection of the environment is our main job. I propose to take the motto of our lesson “ Look after this planet, it’s the only one we have” 4. Warming up the activities Reciting the poem. T: We live on a wonderful planet. Earth is not only our planet, it is our home. Look around.Nature surround us. It is very beautiful. What is our life without nature? I fully agree with the Davies, the poet, who expressed his feeling in his poem “Nature”. Listen! (listening) Really, a poor life this is if we live outside of natural world. Yet, we are constantly destroying our home. ІІ. Main part of the lesson. 1. Listening.Watching the videoclip by M.Jackson T:It is interesting to know that not only scientists but also musicians and artists are also worried about our planet and using the language of art try to attract people’s attention to environmental problems. So, you are going to watch a videoclip by a famous singer M.Jackson “Earth Song” and discuss the main environmental issues which are reflected in it. (The “Earth Song” sounds as a call to all people of the world to be utited and save the world) a)Pre-watching task T:Well, before watching the video let’s remember some useful phrases that we need to share impressions. Look at the handouts and mach phrases with their Ukrainian equivalents. ........................................................
