OPERATING INSTRUCTION FOR BURNER AUTOMATIC OPERATION 1. Turn the BURNER switch to position ON 2. Turn the BURNER OPERATION MODE switch to position AUTO 3. Turn the BURNER MODULATION MODE switch to position AUTO The burner will be started and stopped automatically by signal from the start/stop Pressure Switch. The start up sequence and flame supervision are controlled by the Burner Sequence Controller. Auto Modulation – the burner load is controlled automatically by the Load Controller Manual Modulation – Burner Modulation Mode switch position decides about the burner load Full Load: the burner load is continuously increasing until maximum is reached Part Load: the burner load is continuously decreasing until minimum is reached Stop: the burner servomotor is brought to stop position MANUAL OPERATION 1. Turn the BURNER MODULATION MODE switch to position IGN. LOAD 2. Turn the BURNER OPERATION MODE switch to position MAN. MOTOR to start the Burner Fan Motor and Burner Oil Pump 3. Turn the BURNER MODULATION MODE switch to position FULL for 100 sec. purging 4. Check the oil temperature and pressure if in accordance to the manual 5. Turn back the BURNER MODULATION MODE switch to position IGN. LOAD 6. After the Burner Servomotor is brought to ignition position turn the BURNER OPERATION MODE switch to position IGN and next OIL to open the oil valves 7. When the flame is established turn the BURNER MODULATION MODE switch to position PART. or STOP to keep the burner load between part and maximum 8. Burner firing may be stopped by turning the BURNER OPERATION MODE switch to position OFF WARNING: Insufficient purging may cause Danger of the Furnace Explosion. In manual operation the safety interlocks are reduced to: 1. Too low water level 2. High steam pressure 3. Burner swing-out 4. Burner motor overload 5. Low oil pressure in burner 6. Booster pump overload 7. Flame failure
