PM Career Path

Building the career path
Initiate your PM career as early as possible; this will take your
career furthest, and with maximum speed
Consider your current situation, the situation (or direction) you want
to achieve, and plan a roadmap for the path between the two
Combine the career path ‘building blocks’ presented, and execute
your project management career path remembering:
Make certain you don’t neglect and/or underestimate any of the ‘building blocks’
– If the path becomes blocked, consider taking appropriate action
–
Control and monitor your progress down the path:
Control changes
– Take corrective action as required
–
Slow down, and distribute you experiences as you get ready to close
your project management career path

In closing…
Perhaps the most important item, and the one usually getting very
little attention, is having the right attitude
With systematic hard work and commitment, there is no limit as to
what you can achieve
If you think you can do a thing or think you can't do a thing, you're
right (Henry Ford)
Even if you are on the right track, you’ll still get run over if you just
sit there (Will Rogers)
Try not to become a man of success but rather to become a man of
value (Albert Einstein)
Happiness is not achieved by the conscious pursuit of happiness; it
is generally the by-product of other activities (Aldous Huxley)
Nice things happen to nice people
