ведения лесозаготовок и обработки до энергетики на основе
древесного сырья и предоставления экологических услуг.
Прогрессу в этих областях способствует развитие
сравнительно новых отраслей наук, таких как
биотехнология, нанотехнология и информационнокоммуникационные технологии. Для преодоления
дисбаланса и дефицита в сфере научно-технического
потенциала необходимы дальнейшие согласованные усилия.
Повышение приоритета социальных и экологических
вопросов, а также преодоление традиционных отраслевых
границ с целью извлечения максимальной выгоды из научнотехнических инноваций вне лесного сектора.»
