Genetic Resources Institute of ANAS, Baku, Azerbaijan Changes in the nucleic acids content of the chloroplast and mitochondrion related with drought stress was studied. It was detected that drought stress causes for the substantial changes. After the effect of drought the quantity of DNA increases and the syntheses of RNA became intensified in resistance varieties.
