Abstract With the purpose of definition of thermodynamic functions of mixing, synthesis of hedenbergite - aegirine
solid solutions was carried out. High pressure cold-seal hydrothermal vessels with external heating were used in
experiments. Synthesis of hedenbergite was carried out at Ɍ=600 and 700qɋ and Ɋ=1 and 2 kbar. Aegirine was
synthesized in wide interval of parameters: Ɍ=450 and 750qɋ, Ɋ=1-1.5 kbar and duration 31 day. Solid solutions of
clinopyroxenes were synthesized at Ɍ=650qɋ and Ɋ=2 kbar. The stability of oxygen potential during experiences was
supervised by a buffer mixtures iron + wustite, graphite, Ni + NiO, magnetite + hematite. Products of experiences on
synthesis of solid solution Hed-Aeg are represented by the lengthened brown crystals of (20-50 microns). We studied
the synthesized hedenbergite-aegirine solid solutions by X-ray. Calculation of unit cell parameters of pure
hedenbergite and aegirine has shown their conformity to the data of PDF-2 database. We approximated concentration
correlations of unit cell parameters of hedenbergite - aegirine solid solutions. On the basis of unit cell parameters
changing one can consider that hedenbergite - aegirine solid solution is close to ideal.
